Agung has extensive experience as a journalist in the economy and energy sector for national media. His capabilities to build a network and partnership among government officials, NGO communities, and media are his assets and expertise. He graduated from Gadjah Mada University majoring in Economics. Agung was also part of a team under the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) that evaluates mining permits and governance in Indonesia, Gerakan Nasional Penyelamatan Sumber Daya Alam (GNSDA). The work of the team has led to a nationwide crackdown of thousands of illegal mining permits and spurred reform of governance and accountability in the mining sector. Prior to CERAH, Agung was a Communication and Outreach Manager in Publish What You Pay (PWYP) Indonesia, a global network of civil society coalition on extractives governance industries.
