Kandi was previously an editor at the Indonesian version of CNN’s digital platform. As an editor, she managed a team of writers and reporters covering a wide range of topics from law, politics, security and defense to social affairs, the environment and health. Her journalism career began in 2006 at various national outlets. She holds a master's degree in media studies from Padjajaran University, West Java. She is also a founder of Aksara Institute, an organization that focuses on media literacy and capacity building.
